West Coast kayak touring

The southern area of Majorca is full of beautiful spots, such as beaches and coves almost virgin that wait to be discovered for those who are willing to go along its picturesque littoral with eroded rocks due to the water and time effects.
 

This activity will start in Fornells Cove, which is situated in the area of Peguera. It is a lovely beach of 30 metres long and 20 metres wide of thick sand from where you can contemplate fantastic views in where it can be seen Peguera and Santa Ponça beaches, as well as Es Malgrat and Es Caló of Ses Llises islets. It is said that this cove has something special as the Spain king’s father, Mr Juan of Borbón, sailed it with his famous vessel Giralda.

The route will lead us from this place to the paradisiacal cove of Es Caló de´s Monjo. The visitor will have the feeling of being in a remote place due to it small size, its environment, surrounded by pines and medium size cliffs, or its clear and greenish waters.

Following the route, we will go to Palmira beach or also called Es Pouet beach. It is a huge splendid sandy place, this is due to the direct human participation because some years ago breakwaters that divided the beach were eliminated and tonnes of fine sand were tipped out on the beach to rehabilitate it.

We will leave behind such a singular beach to go on to Calm Coast area, as its name indicates, it is a beautiful and quiet abrupt place where its natural environment are pines and bushes.

Next, Santa Ponça Bay, which is a place of historical relevance due to the fact that on 31st of December in 1.229, Jaime I disembarked to snatch away the island from the Muslims. It was built a big commemorative cross at the entrance of the bay due to its 700th anniversary.

Finally, this adventure will finish in Caló de´n Pellicer. It is a small cove of fine sand full of Mediterranean tamarinds and pines.

This activity will carry out and supervised by professional instructors.

• Sunglasses (better with floating cord) cap, shirt, sunscreeen.
• If you want, gloves, to keep hands free from salinity and friction, although notice that it will reduce sensibility with paddle.
• Water shoes.
• A snack and drink.
• A change of clothes.

Available departures: Mondays, Fridays.

Unavailable departures: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays.

Departure from: Paguera.

Departure time: 09:30h.

Activity duration: 2 hours and a half.
 

Important information about departure time:

• Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in and start your activity on time.
• If you arrive late we could not guarantee the inclusion in other group and different timetable, because all could be complete.

• Instructors speaks majorquin, spanish, english and german.
• This tour must be booked at least 48 hours in advance of your travel date.
• Confirmation for this activity will be received within 24 hours after your booking, subject to availability.
• A minimum of 4 person are requiered to book.
• Minimum age of 10 required.
• Required know to swim.

• Supervision by a qualified professional instructor until 10 person. From 11 person, supervision by two qualified profesional instructors.
• Kayaks, paddles, life jacket and first aid kit.
• Under request, it could be possible to use cockpit style or spray skirt kayaks.
