Coves of white fine sand, clear and green waters, an environment of natural flora and Mediterranean fauna, remote virgin spots… All this is what you will find in the area where this activity is carried out. It starts in a small beach called En Blanes Coast, situated very near the most prestigious sport harbours of the Mediterranean Sea: Portals Harbour (Puerto Portals).
Our journey will lead us, surrounding the coast, to numerous tourist towns and housing estates overlooking the sea until we arrive at our point of interest which is Sa Porrassa island, situated in front of Magalluf municipality. In this area the army of the King Jaime I camped when they conquered the island to the Muslim army. In the surroundings of the coast there is a defence tower that stands 40 metres above sea level. It was built between 1595 and 1616, and is in a good state of conservation under the protection law of the Spanish Historical Heritage.
Once we leave the island, we will pass by Cala Viñas, a beach situated in a semi urban area of 5 metres long and 90 metres wide of white fine sand and green waters.
The journey will go on until Cala Falcó, where we will stop to have a break and a swim in the sea. This inlet of the sea is found, with cliffs of medium height that are full of pines and bushes. A little less than one nautical mile from this place, you can see an islet called Sec, in its surroundings there is a marine wreck of a Greek merchant.
After the swim, we will go to El Mago beach, a reference for the tourist and natives, undoubtedly due to the fine sand and extremely clear waters. In this place the film Black Jack was shot in 1.965. Starring Michael Caine and Anthony Quinn and there still stands the house that dominates the beach from a promontory. Curiously, the initial idea of the producer was to shoot the film in Greece; however, due to the fact that it was a coup d´état from "The Captains"(“Los Coroneles”), Majorca was the second option. Furthermore, it was the first beach officially declared nudist in the Balear Archipelago.
This activity is carried out by the protection of qualified instructors of the Royal Spanish Canoeing Federation. The material at our disposal consists in 1 and 2 seats sea kayaks.
